Our curriculum is based on resourced-based culturally relevant and responsive S.T.E.A.M. programs. Students, who test into gifted programs in suburban public, private, and charter schools, are essentially given an entirely different education than their counterparts in urban public schools.

Students in these programs begin foreign language and Algebra I in 7th grade or earlier.

By 9th grade, they are ready to begin AP classes. As high school students, they visit colleges with debate teams, go abroad with the foreign language club, and leave campus daily to volunteer in the community. College success is the standard.

Our curriculum, which is focused around Common Core with a STEAM approach, allows us to continually intervene and remediate students through culturally responsive teaching topics.

Ollie Arts Program

The Ollie Arts Program at B.E. Academy for girls is named in honor of our Co-Founder Tee Wilson's grandmother Ollie Virginia Chambliss.

Every girl will select an Art class each quarter. This allows them the opportunity to explore and discover a passion. By 9th grade, students will select their art path and grow in their path of choice until graduation.

Art paths will include 2D and 3D art,  graphic design, animation, piano, dance, theater, violin, music production, and more.

If you are interested in supporting our arts curriculum as a faculty member, volunteer or sponsor please submit an inquiry form here.

Investing in girls' education is the very best thing we can do, not just for our daughters and granddaughters, but for their families, their communities, and their countries.
